Rebecca, 29, and Hywel, 34, met through Young Farmers, five years ago. They got engaged in December 2020 at Henrhyd Falls. It was very romantic next to the waterfalls.

The couple married on Saturday, July 2022 at St David’s Church, Hundleton. The service was conducted by Rev’d Peter Jones, with a reading by Rev’d Geoffrey Eynon. Hymns in the church were To God Be The Glory, Calon Lan and Mawlgan (Bendigedig fyddo’r Iesu)

We had a rustic theme with navy and blush pink.

We both had white gold rings from Ernest Jones.

Medya (Maid of Honour) did a reading as well as Elinor Roberts. Hywel’s friends sang during the signing of the register. They sang Never Walk Alone and Angor.

Bridesmaids were Cath, Emma, Jess and Rose. Maid of Honour was Medya. Niece Ida was Flower Girl; Page Boys were Harry and Tom. Best Men/ ring bears were James and Aled; Men of Honour were James and Win. Ushers were Vaughan, Carwyn, Sam, Charlie, Gareth, Alun, Luke and Daniel.

Pretty much the day after getting engaged! We set the date within a week!

Yes, we went to a wedding fayre at Craig Y Nos Castle and the Pembrokeshire County Wedding Fayre in Haverfordwest.

It was a lace sheath dress bought from Wed2b shop in Swansea. Alterations were made by Julie Thorpe, seamstress in Rosemarket.

Hair was put up by Kirsty Collett and make-up by Chey Butler.

Bouquets were made by Adrian Cooke with flowers home grown by the bride’s father, Derek. Church arrangements were made by Adrian too. The top table arrangement was by Derek. Table decorations in the marquee were by Jill George - a very good friend of ours. Uncle Joe and the bride’s father Derek kindly supplied the planted tubs outside the marquee.

Yes: Welsh cakes made by Hywel’s aunty Janet, as well as sloe gin made by Hywel’s mother, Gillian.

Bridesmaids were in long navy dresses. Men of honour wore pink dicky bow ties with their suits. The Groom, as well as the groomsmen, wore navy suits with floral ties, hired from Dyfed Menswear, Cross Hands.

The reception was held on Hywel’s parents’ farm on top of a field in Treffgarne with 190 guests on the day. We had a sit-down three-course meal provided by Cegin Cwm Gwaun and a marquee fired from Blue Sky. The groom’s speech was interrupted by a surprise wedding singer, Leighton Rafferty.

In the evening we had pork rolls and a buffet. For entertainment, we had a band called Cover’d Up, which we highly recommend. We partied into the early hours, ending the night with a sing song around the piano.

We had a medley: Hold Me in Your Arms and You Are the Best Thing by Ray Lamontagne.

We had a combined package by Inspire Weddings. Mel and Matt took some beautiful photos and we especially love our video which captured the day very well.

It was made by Becws Bets - Hywel’s cousin Betsan. It was a classic four-tier wedding cake with various flavours, our favourite being the biscoff tier! We had a personalised cake topper which included our two black cats!

A vintage car by Top Class Cars. Other transport for the wedding party provided kindly by James (Man of Honour), Luke (usher) and Luke’s brother Matthew.

Rebecca had Hen Nights in Bristol and Cardiff as well as a local Hen Do in Lamphey Hall Hotel. Hywel had Stag Nights in Blackpool and Narberth.

We had a few days away in Tenerife. It was very spontaneous. But so nice to relax!

The first look with my dad was a very special moment. The ceremony was the best part and a very emotional feeling to be surrounded by our closest family and friends, and saying “I do!”

My top three tips are:

• Make a to-do list and keep a notebook with your. The Bridebook app was very useful, too.

•Lean on those around you - family and friends will want to help, so delegate jobs.

• Enjoy the planning process, go to wedding fairs for ideas but don’t fixate on minor details! Enjoy every minute.
